Introduction: Dear Family I am a mature fit and active lady,French from birth with 30 years of British residency. A Child care specialist qualified in the support of children and young people with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour. I have worked in children residential homes and as a mentor for teenagers for 15 yrs and also ran my own youth performing circus and drama school (7-18 yrs) Having grown up in a very large family, and, having had 4 children of my own (who brought the inevitable extra young guests round the dining table), all this has helped me maintain a very young spirit and high level of tolerance. My pedagogical approach involves lots of creativity, cooking, the outdoors and a lot of praising and encouragement. Every child is unique and has it's own linguistic. Especially if they have learning difficulties.(as I had to practice throughout the years with one of my own child on the autism spectrum ) I have great patience and empathy and am very consistent. I do work in installing mutual respect, principles and values. I will always do my best to build confidence and self worth and with a lot of fun love and laughter, your child will grow happy, with good social skills and a love of life. I have found through personal experience that greatest academic results are achieved if a child´s creativity is challenged and encouraged. After many years of doing collective and community work, it is time for me to wind down and use my skills for a more personal touch on a one to one basis, providing more consistent and regular guidance to your little one/s. Ps: My training is behavioural, and occupational, therefore a teaching/tutor position is not appropriate. I can however help with reading, literature and languages. | |
