From the very beginning - including the Skype session before we arrived at the resort - Gwinny put us at ease and our little girl loved her. She has lots of experience with children and nervy parents! Each morning she collected our daughter from the chalet and took her out for the day on all sorts of adventures. She kept us up to date with how she was during the day and sent pictures, which was really reassuring. She was flexible on timings and could meet us up the mountain for lunch which was really nice. Reference Received from: William Alston Reference: "We have 2 children, one of whom has some learning difficulties, which can make looking after both at the same time a challenge! Obviously the first few minutes of meeting a new nanny is when a lot of judgements are made (some correct, some not so!) but I can honestly say with Gwinny that our first impressions lasted right the way through and they were that she found her level, not just with both the girls but also with us straight away. She is one of the few carers who has really understood (quickly) where we are coming from with regards to how to plan the childrens' days. She coped with a fairly tricky schedule (because both childrens' lessons were at different times in different places), she speaks French fluently which saved us time and money here and there (knowing who to ask and the right things to ask them) and she made every meeting point on time or stayed in close touch if events prevented that. She has the maturity to not be led by children (!) as well as a good understanding of how they tick and ours loved her from the outset. Our only concern with Gwinny is that she may not be available next time we go on holiday..."

She has a lovely warm and calm nature and my son was really happy in her company. She has a good knowledge of alpe d'huez so she knew what and where to go to keep him entertained. Both my husband and I found Gwinny personable, reliable and trustworthy and would have no hesitation in recommending her as a nanny. Freddie and Gwinny quickly established a bond and as the week progressed, Freddie loved spending time in Gwinny's company. He enjoyed doing lots of outdoor activities including going to the ball pit, soft play, visiting the huskies, watching the helicopters at the altiport, he even got to see an ice hockey match! Gwinny kept me updated throughout the day and met Freddie's needs in a nurturing and responsible manner and I felt totally relaxed about Freddie being in Gwinny's care. This meant that we could enjoy our day's skiing knowing that Freddie was in safe hands. Gwinny has a calm and caring manner and a natural affinity with children.
